Postdoctral Positions in Galaxy Evolution and Software Pipeline
PI:
Dr. Wei-Hao Wang
Assistant Research Fellow
I am looking for postdoctoral researchers who would like to work on
galaxy evolution and software pipeline development.
1. Galaxy Evolution
My main interest is deep multiwavelength survey for understanding dust-hidden star formation history. A dedicated page describing my recent work can be found on this page. Those who specialize in wide-field optical and near-IR surveys, or millimeter/submillimeter observations of high-z galaxies will receive special consideration. However, I welcome anyone who is interested in the general topic to work with me in ASIAA.
2. Pipeline Development
I wrote an IDL pipeline for wide-field near-IR imaging reduction. Its details can be found here. I am working on extending this pipeline to optical instruments such as Subaru's SuprimeCam and even the future HyperSuprimeCam. (ASIAA is a partner of the HyperSuprimeCam project.) I am looking for a postdoc who is willing to work on this. The postdoc will have up to 50% of time to carry out independent research project. Applicants who plan to participate in HyperSuprimeCam surveys are encouraged to apply.
Applicants are welcome to contact me before the submission of the application. My email is whwang at asiaa. sinica. edu. tw
